Permolit Permomulti Multi-Purpose Synthetic Surface Primer is a solvent-based, alkyd-based primer that offers excellent adhesion on challenging surfaces. It is a high-quality, versatile primer delivered ready-to-use, and can be easily applied following surface preparation.

Areas of Application

Permomulti Surface Primer has a wide range of uses both indoors and outdoors:

• Iron and steel surfaces
• Aluminum, copper, zinc (including galvanized surfaces)

• Wood and plaster surfaces

Application Method

Surfaces to be primed must be free from contaminants such as dirt, dust, oil, rust, and old paint residues.

• Wood surfaces: Resin and knots should be cleaned with cellulose thinner, saturated with Permolit Varnished Wood Protector, and lightly sanded.
• Metal surfaces: Rust and oil must be removed; galvanized surfaces outdoors require two coats.
• PVC surfaces: Light sanding is recommended.

After surface preparation, apply one or two coats with a brush, roller, or spray (pistol). Wait 6-8 hours between coats. Allow 9-10 hours drying time before solvent-based paints and 24 hours before water-based paints.

Dilution Ratios

The product is ready to use but can be diluted if necessary:

• Brush and roller applications: max 5%
• Spray applications: 10-15% synthetic thinner

• Flash Point: > 36°C
• Drying Time: Touch dry in 2-3 hours, fully dry in 9-10 hours

Storage and Shelf Life

Store unopened containers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight for up to 3 years. Stack a maximum of 7 units of 2.5L and 8 units of 0.75L containers.

• To store leftover product, add a small amount of synthetic thinner and close tightly.
• Testing on a small area is recommended for glossy and plastic surfaces.
